It wouldn't be a stretch to declare Harry Winks as Tottenham Hotspur's biggest success story of the season.
The homegrown midfielder has emerged from the fringes at White Hart Lane to become a trusted and important part of Mauricio Pochettino's Tottenham squad, featuring more often than not and regularly coming on for Mousa Dembele - an unenviable task for most men in the middle of the pitch.
Though Victor Wanyama has been by far and away the club's top arrival, no other player than the Kenyan has made as big an impact as Winks, with most of the top performers at Spurs already proving themselves in previous seasons. Winks is the surprise performer fans would have been surprised to see impress.
Team Accurate Passes per 90 minutesMinutes To Dribble Past OpponentPassing AccuracyAppearances
Harry Winks Tottenham 63 57.86 90% 18
Mousa Dembélé Tottenham 59 24.93 92% 18
Victor Wanyama Tottenham 52 67.71 88% 26
Jan Vertonghen Tottenham 51 153.33 85% 21

With 29 appearances this season, whenever the youngster has taken to the field he has showcased a mix of Dembele's combativeness and tenacity and Christian Eriksen's passing range and eagerness to get forward.
Astonishingly, Winks has featured for Pochettino's side in 25 out of the clubs's last 26 games. Though the vast majority of these appearances have been from the bench, it is clear that the Argentine is a big fan of the 21-year-old.
And it's easy to see why when you look at some of his statistics this season.
No regular player for Spurs records more accurate passes per 90 minutes than the academy graduate, with his 63 per 90 mins putting him ahead of Dembele, and more defensive players Wanyama and Jan Vertonghen. With Winks arguably the most attacking of that quartet, it is a real indication of the Englishman's quality.
Winks' passing percentage stands up to, and is the second best in the team after Dembele. While he is also the second best dribbler in central midfield, behind the Belgian. Aside from Dembele, only Moussa Sissoko, Heung-Min Son and Erik Lamela dribble past players more often than Winks.
With stats like that, don't be surprised to see the England Under-21 man continue to feature for Spurs, and go on to make more of an impact next season.
