Unbelievable: Soldiers pounce on Army General who asked them to fight without food

Reports filtering in have it that some soldiers have pounced on their commanding officer for reportedly asking them to fight against Boko Haram on empty stomachs.
Premium Times reports that Victor Ezegwu, the commanding officer of the Army 7 Division in Mailamari allegedly asked the soldiers to face the die hard terrorists inside Sambisa forest without food for two days

Although the GOC returned in a helicopter with supplies and food items, the soldiers reportedly pounced on him in an attempt to lynch him after going hungry for more than 24 hours.

A source noted that, “The GOC escaped being lynched because he was immediately shoved into an aircraft and whisked away from the area."
The soldiers, having missed their target, fired sporadically and rained curses on Ezegwu, but while reacting to the said attacks, the GOC denied ever witnessing any form of violence in his station.
In a chat with reporters on Friday in Maiduguri, he said: “I want to assure that nothing like mutiny happened in Bama. Nothing happened.
“I just came back from Bama and nothing like that happened.”
